Deep cleansing facial

Deep cleansing is the foundation treatment for congested skin and for keeping a routine on track. Extractions are done carefully and the skin is calmed afterwards.

Who is this treatment for?

  • Congested skin with blackheads and whiteheads
  • Enlarged pores and rough texture
  • Oily or combination skin
  • Anyone who has not had a professional facial cleansing for a long time
  • A good foundation before starting another series of treatments

Why professional cleansing and not at home

It is tempting to squeeze a blackhead in front of the mirror, but without preparation and precision that can cause redness, inflammation or a mark that lasts longer than the blockage itself.

The difference is not in force but in preparation. Professional cleansing begins by softening surface debris and preparing congested pores with suitable products or steam. Extraction is then limited to areas that can be treated without excessive pressure or avoidable irritation.

The second part is knowing when to stop. Not every blockage is ready to be cleared on the same day, and one of the important skills in this treatment is leaving alone what is not yet ready and coming back to it next time.

What the treatment includes

The treatment opens with a short assessment of the skin on that day, make-up removal and a thorough initial cleanse. Then comes a suitable peel that removes the layer of dead cells and makes the pores easier to reach.

The preparation stage softens surface debris and prepares congested pores. The cleansing itself is then carried out slowly and only in areas that are suitable for extraction that day.

At the end come the soothing stages: a mask suited to the skin type and its state after the cleansing, a calming product and protection. Their purpose is to reduce irritation and support the skin's recovery.

During the treatment there is also a short facial massage, which improves the look of the tone and the feel of the skin, and it is usually the part women mention when they come back.

  • Assessment and make-up removal
  • Initial cleanse and a suitable peel
  • Softening surface debris and preparing congested pores
  • Controlled deep cleansing of blockages and blackheads
  • Facial massage
  • A suitable mask, soothing and protection

How often is advisable

For most skin types, a facial cleansing every month to six weeks is the rhythm that keeps the skin in good condition. That rhythm roughly matches the natural cell renewal cycle.

Oily skin prone to blockages may need a higher frequency at the start, and dry or sensitive skin actually less. At the assessment we decide together what is right for you. I do not sell a fixed subscription in advance.

The home routine has no less influence than the frequency of treatment. Professional cleansing can remove existing blockages, but suitable products and consistent habits help reduce how quickly they build up again.

How it feels afterwards and why it is worth it

Mild redness in the hours after the treatment is normal and expected, especially if there were many blockages to deal with. It usually passes within a few hours to a day.

That is why I recommend not booking a facial cleansing the day before an event. If there is an event, about a week before is better. That gives the skin time to recover and look its best on exactly the right day.

In the days afterwards it is important to avoid heavy make-up on the first day, not to touch or squeeze, and to be strict about sun protection. The skin may be more sensitive after the cleansing, and unprotected exposure can increase irritation and worsen marks.

The change after a cleansing is not meant to be dramatic: the goal is a cleaner feel, a smoother and more pleasant texture and good preparation of the skin for the rest of the skincare routine.

The foundation everything starts from

A facial cleansing is usually the first treatment I do for a new client, even when she came for something else entirely. The reason is simple: it is hard to assess congested skin correctly, and even harder to treat it.

After a thorough cleansing I see the real state of the skin: the texture, the hydration level, the sensitivity and what really needs work. From there a precise plan can be built, whether it includes peels, mesotherapy, acne treatment or just a better home routine.

There are also quite a few clients who stay with facial cleansing alone as a regular treatment, and that is completely legitimate. Not every skin needs a series, and I say that even when it means fewer treatments.

Facial cleansing in Netanya, at my clinic

I have worked at 25 Yehuda Halevi Street in Netanya since 1991. Facial cleansing is the most basic treatment I do, and also the one where the gap between good work and less good work is felt the most, because it is almost entirely hands and judgement.

Treatments are personal and by appointment, so there is no feeling of a production line and no time pressure. Women come to me from Netanya and also from Herzliya, Kfar Saba, Ra'anana, Hod HaSharon and Hadera.

If you have not had a professional facial cleansing for a long time and are not sure where to begin, this is exactly the place to begin. To book an appointment, send a WhatsApp message and I will get back to you.

Frequently asked questions

Questions and answers about the treatment

How often should I have a facial cleansing?
For most skin types, every month to six weeks, a rhythm that roughly matches the cell renewal cycle. Oily skin prone to blockages may need a higher frequency at the start, and dry or sensitive skin actually less. We decide together at the assessment.
Does a facial cleansing hurt?
Careful preparation can make extraction more comfortable, but some areas with deeper congestion may still feel sensitive. I work slowly, use only the pressure needed and leave alone anything that is not ready to be cleared.
Why not do it myself at home?
The difference is not in force but in preparation. Squeezing skin that has not been softened pushes part of the contents deeper into the tissue, and that is exactly what creates inflammation, a larger spot and sometimes a mark that lasts for months. The second part is knowing when to stop. Not every blockage is ready to be cleared on the same day.
Can I have a facial cleansing before an event?
About a week before is better than the day before. Mild redness in the hours after the treatment is normal, especially when there were many blockages, and a week gives the skin time to recover and look its best on the right day.
What should I do in the days afterwards?
On the first day it is advisable to avoid heavy make-up, not to touch or squeeze the area, and to be strict about sun protection. The skin may be more sensitive after the cleansing, so it is worth letting it settle.
Where do the treatments take place?
At 25 Yehuda Halevi Street in Netanya, where I have worked since 1991. Treatments are personal and by appointment only. Women come to me from Netanya and also from Herzliya, Kfar Saba, Ra'anana, Hod HaSharon and Hadera.

Nice to meet you

Lisa Vinokur, professional beauty therapist

I moved from Uruguay to Israel on my own at the age of 16, bringing with me determination, curiosity and a love of aesthetics that remains part of my work today.

I qualified as a beauty therapist in 1991 and have continued to study and update my professional knowledge ever since. Every appointment begins with listening and a careful look at the skin rather than a one-size-fits-all protocol.

My studies in natural medicine help me consider skincare in a wider context. They do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment, and I refer clients to a doctor whenever that is the responsible choice.
